Can we train new model that is not generative AI model with MLB data ?

it's mentioned that "Third-Party Generative AI Models: Participants are prohibited from using generative AI models from any provider other than Google Cloud. This includes, but is not limited to, models from OpenAI, Microsoft, Anthropic, or any other third-party provider.
Training New Models with MLB Data: Participants are strictly prohibited from using any MLB data provided in this hackathon to train or fine-tune generative AI models not offered by Google Cloud."

this is specific to generative models. How about non-generative models like vision models? thanks

Great question! It is prohibited to train New Models with MLB Data. See the FAQ question on the resources (https://next2025challenge.devpost.com/resources/#faq). Within the rules we provide a "limitation on Artificial Intelligence Technologies" which states "All artificial intelligence tools used in connection with the Project or this Contest must be Google Cloud services, which are detailed at https://cloud.google.com/terms/services, such as Gemini models via Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and relevant APIs. Other than artificial intelligence tools, the Project should primarily leverage primarily Google Cloud products for its functionality and implementation."

Best of luck with your project!
